The Common App.

The Common App is widiely used, and hear about my friends using it all the time. Personally i didn't use it and found no need to because my first choice school i applied to didn't take it. But after seeing my friends go through it I think its a pretty good innovation. Its easy to keep track of your application and all the steps youre missing so that you can better see exactly what you need to do to be done with all the applications. Its also easier when you think about it. Lets say a prospective student wants to apply to six schools. Thats six different websites to log in to to check application status and just fill it out in general. It seems like such a hassel now-a-days. And now since there are more than 400 schools taking the Common Application its just easier to do it that way.
Theres no reason to stress over some many applications when the Common App pretty much organizes everything for you. I saw the lay out for the Common App website and its pretty simple. It has the list for all the colleges you are applying to and next to the name of the university are symbols to tell you whether or not your application is completed adn ready to be sent and if you are missing something. To me it seems so much nore organized. Im not organized at all and either are a lot of high school students i know, so tagging along a ton of paper applications is a burden. Im pretty sure eventually way more schools with be taking the Common Application.
